When I move my slider to 1024 x 768 Windows auto-drops my grafics to 16bit. If I move it up to 32bit it auto-drops my resolution to 900 x 600. Can anyone let me in on the secret?

Resolution and colors
Hello,
This indicates that your video driver is telling windows that it does not support showing 32-bit color at that resolution.

I am sorry for not replying sooner as I have discovered the heart of my probelm. My video card does support such capibilites but the drivers issued by Nvidia are flawed to say the least. Upon rolling back my drivers back to the basic Vista installed drivers my computer was able to display correctly. I also discovered the "Latest and Greatest" offical drivers from Nvidia are not compliant with the full graffic ability of Vista. Take my advise. Use the Vista drivers if you want display to work correctly or you want to use Vista Aero. If you have already installed the latest drivers roll them back to the orginal.
